“Changing Lives, One Costume At A Time”
Each child that receives a costume from Free Costumes for Kids is asked to set a goal for themselves. Our hope is to set off a chain reaction of positive change. By donating a costume to our organization, not only will smiles be created, but change will be iniated.
The children who received costumes at the Migrant Education Open House at Lantana Elementary School on October 15th, 2011 wrote a goal for themselves before they received their costumes. Here are their goals.
Eineuto – I will face my fears.
Maisel - I will do my best.
David - I will tell people how I feel.
Dante - I will learn to write my name.
Maria - I will become an artist.
Andrea - I will become a teacher.
Baltazen - I will become a firefighter.
Floridalma - I will do better in Math and work harder to understand it.
Visel - I will improve in school.
Yoana - I will face my fears.
Magali - I will do better in Math.
Victor - I will join the Army.
Jennifer - I will get good grades.
Elda - I will become a princess.
Victer - I will help my Mom without her asking .
Kevin - I will improve in school.
Edelso - I will get along with my sisters.
Jose - I will face my fears.
Elizabeth - I will share a smile.
David P. - My goal is to face my fears.
Rodas - I promise to get along with my brother.
Jose - I will do my best.
Arelis - I will do my best at all times.
Dajany - I will learn to write my name.
Mia - I will do better in school.
Elizabeth - I will do my best.
Fidel - I will get better grades.
Gaby - I will learn my ABC’s.
Micaela - I will do better in math.
Karen - I will go to college and get a good job.
Jerardo - I want to use my sense of humor to solve problems, instead of using my fists.
Fernando - I promise not to steal.
David C. - My goal is to face my fears.
Michael - I will always do my best.
Roberto - I want to be a soccer player.
Patricio - I will read for 30 minutes every day.
Estefani - I promise to face my fears.
Fabiola - I will get a higher GPA.
Brian - I will learn to write my name.
Chris - I will learn to walk.
Manuel - I will be a professional soccer player.
