Free Costumes for Kids is a new non-profit organization in Palm Beach County.  Our goal this year is to provide a new or gently used Halloween costume to every underprivileged child  in our county.  Once this goal is achieved we will expand to South Florida,  the State of Florida and the Nation.

Is Halloween one of your favorite holidays?  Have you ever missed out on the Halloween parade, or trick or treating because you didn’t have a costume?  Would you like to help us keep that from happening to any other child?  Here is what you can do to help:

1.  Donate a new or gently used Halloween costume.  (Local collection sites listed below.)   For full Costume Donation Guidelines visit http://freecostumesforkids.org.

Costumes can also be mailed to:

Free Costumes For Kids
6851 SW 21st Court • Bay 6
Davie, Florida  33317

2.  Make a donation to Free Costumes for Kids.

3.  Attend the Free Costumes for Kids events.

4.  Volunteer your time.

5.  Become a business partner.  We need collection (drop-off boxes) and distribution sites.

Free Costumes For Kids has teamed up with Gigaweb.com, and Delux Night Club, 16 E. Atlantic Ave., Delray Beach, FL 33444 to throw a special adult costume party bash to raise money to provide costumes for local underprivileged kids this Halloween season.  “Our goal is to provide a new or gently used Halloween costume to every underprivileged kid in Palm Beach County… That’s our short term goal, but I think with more local support we can get to all of South FL by next year.” says President Of Free Costumes For Kids, Casey McCarthy.

Delux Night Club is throwing an adult Halloween Costume Bash on Saturday, October 17th, 2009, two weeks before Halloween.  “I think it is Perfect Timing… Now people get to use their Halloween costumes two times this Halloween…  Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays.”  says Owner of  Delux Night Club, Dave Robinson.  The halloween costume party for adults only starts at 7PM  and the cost of admission is only$10.

Here are the ways to gain free entry to this exclusive Halloween costume party:

1.  Buy a costume from http://www.gigaweb.com (a portion of Gigaweb’s
proceeds are going to Free Costumes For Kids to buy new costumes for underprivileged kids) and bring your receipt to the door and get Free Admission to this Special adult event and a Free Drink.

2. Donate a new or gently used kid’s costume and receive Free Admission and a Free Drink.

3. Make a donation to Free Costumes For Kids and receive Free Admission and a Free Drink.

Oct 17th, 2009 is going to be a special night for a special cause.  At 10pm, Delux Night Club’s DJ will be Crowning The Free Costumes For Kids… Crazy Costume Award and presenting a $200 Grand Prize, so Bring your Best Costumes this 17th of October to Delux and Win BIG!

Freecostumesforkids.org is looking to partner with other area retailers like Target, Wal-Mart, Publix and Family Dollar Stores, etc. and local non-profit organizations throughout Palm Beach County including the YMCA, The Boys and Girls Clubs, churches and schools.   If you are a member or associate with these groups, please contact Casey McCarthy, Free Costumes For Kids President by dialing 561-789-2421 or Chris McCarthy at 904 471-1221.  We would love to speak with you.
Other local events and participating organizations:
Xscream Halloween Haunted House, a project of Gstar Film School,   (http://www.gstarschool.org), the largest Film, TV Production and Acting High School in the nation; and the only High School in the world with a working Motion Picture Studio on Campus, is offering half off ticket prices when you donate a new or gently used kids Halloween costume when purchasing tickets.  Visit (http://www.xscreamhalloween.com) for full detail and location.
The Palm Beach County Council of PTA/PTSA has invited local schools to get involved as collection and distribution sites.  Delray Parks and Recreation After School Programs has already requested 303 costumes to distribute to the underprivileged children in their after school programs throughout the city.  Barbara Haley, Vice President of 4 Children’s S. A. K. E. , is also looking forward to receiving the costumes for the abused and underprivileged children in her program and Plumosa School of the Arts After School Art Club has volunteered to make hand made posters for drop-off box locations.  Our goal here at Free Costumes For Kids is to bring a new or  gently used costume to every single underprivileged kid in Palm Beach County.  Children who feel cared about and supported by their communities are more motivated to reach their full potential.
